Harris presidency is just an extension of Biden – her policies will be worse than Biden’s

If President Joe Biden were to bow out of the White House race, Vice President Kamala Harris is widely viewed as most likely to take his place as the Democratic nominee.
So what would her policy priorities look like — and would there be much difference from Biden’s approach?
“A Harris presidency would be, for all intents and purposes, a continuation of the Biden administration,” said Isaac Boltansky, director of policy research at BTIG. “From a Democratic perspective, I think that’s a feature, not a bug. We need to keep in mind Joe Biden is slowly being led towards the door not because of his policies but because of his health and capacity.”
Other analysts have agreed that Harris would follow Biden’s playbook in many respects. Analysts also have emphasized that any Democratic president could be kept in check by having to work with one or two chambers of Congress controlled by Republicans. The Senate, in particular, is seen as poised to swing to the GOP because Democrats — with a 51-49 majority, including the four independents who caucus with the Democrats — face tough races for a number of the seats that they’re trying to retain.
At the same time, there are possible differences between Biden and Harris.
Harris is more tied to the Democratic Party’s progressive wing than Biden, and her proposals could be “more aggressive than Biden’s.
In addition, she might try to do more on bank regulations or consumer-focused regulations, according to Haines.
But the Pangaea Policy expert also said he expects that any president in 2025 will be dealing with a divided Washington, so there’s only a 20% or 30% chance of a “meaningful” extension of the GOP’s 2017 tax-code overhaul.

Another difference could stem from Harris’s having been a point person on abortion rights for the Biden administration, according to Stephen Myrow, managing partner at Beacon Policy Advisors. “So I think she can be even more aggressive and beat the drum stronger on protecting abortion rights,” Myrow told MarketWatch.
